Bonfire Night is just around the corner, and we know that everyone is looking for the best fireworks display to attend!
More often than not, there are funfair rides and live music, as well as, in some areas, a licenced bar.
Local bonfire night events are always filled with fun for all the family to enjoy!
This year, bonfire night falls on a Saturday, which makes it a great excuse to celebrate bonfire night early by using the entire weekend.
Depending on where you go, sometimes there are two displays of fireworks available, the first display being a bit earlier so you can get the little ones to bed after the excitement.
The second and main display is sometimes louder and slightly bigger!
One of our top tips is to make sure to arrive early to guarantee entry and grab a good spot by the bonfire and in time so you can see the fireworks display without anyone blocking your view!
Get your sparklers out this November, and check out one of the many fireworks events available at our hot air balloon launch sites.
From fireworks displays to fairground rides, Guy Fawkes Night hosts a fun fair evening you won't want to forget, filled with family entertainment.

Why Do We Celebrate Bonfire Night Every Year?
Here in the UK, we celebrate Bonfire Night on November 5th.
This date marks the anniversary of the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when a group of Catholic conspirators tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London.
They wanted to kill King James I and his Protestant government. The plot was foiled, and the conspirators were caught and executed.
In commemoration of this event, bonfires are lit on November 5th every year.
People also set off fireworks and enjoy big celebrations. It's a way of remembering the failure of the Gunpowder Plot and celebrating our freedom.
It's also a lot of fun! If you're in the UK on November 5th, make sure to join in the celebrations for Guy Fawkes Night this year.
The Most Popular Bonfire Night Foods:
Food plays a big role in bonfire night celebrations.
If you head to your local bonfire night, it's more than likely you'll find drink stalls and food vans filled with delicious hot food to keep you warm as you watch the bonfire roar!
One of the best things about Bonfire Night is all the delicious food you can enjoy at the event. From toffee apples and roasted chestnuts to pies and hot chocolate, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
- Candy floss: A classic English fairground food staple.
- Mulled wine: This warming drink is made with red wine, spices, and fruit juices. It's the perfect way to stay cosy on a chilly Bonfire Night evening. Get in line at the bar you can't miss out on this!
- Hot Cider: Another comforting drink available at fairground drink outlets and often served at Bonfire night events.
- Toffee apples: These classic Bonfire Night treats are made by coating apples in a hard candy shell.
- Hot dogs: No Bonfire Night is complete without a steaming hot dog cooked over an open fire. Another option is sausages as a bonfire night favourite; sausages can be cooked in the same way as hot dogs. Serve them with some onions and ketchup for the perfect treat.
- Jacket potatoes: A bonfire night classic, jacket potatoes are the perfect way to warm up on a cold evening. Fill them with your favourite toppings, and enjoy!
