Old Oswestry Hillfort is at least 2,000 years old and dates back to the Iron Age. It is said to have been the birthplace of Queen Ganhumara - better known as Queen Guinevere of the King Arthur legends. Oswestry-born poet Wilfred Owen also completed his army training there during the World War I.
