Princes Risborough is a pretty market down nestled into The Chilterns.
An area of outstanding natural beauty, it is home to the Whiteleaf Cross - a chalk hill carving dating back to at least 1742.
The oldest parish in Britain, Princes Risborough was frequented by Prince Edward of Woodstock, eldest son of King Edward III, who granted him the manor in 1344 when he was just 14 years old. He is popularly known as the 'Black Prince', probably due to the black armour he war when leading several military campaigns for his father in France and Spain, and had a home at nearby Berkhamsted Castle.
