The exact location of the airfield is approximately 4 miles west of York city centre, between the villages of Rufforth and Askham Richard.
From the York ring road follow the B1224 Wetherby road west for 2 miles until you enter the village of Rufforth. Turn left after the village shop, following the signs for Ouse Gliding Club, which is located on the west side of the airfield. (Do not enter the north side of the airfield off the B1224 as this is the microlight centre and has no access to the balloon launch site). The balloon crew will meet you at the gliding centre and escort you onto the airfield when ready to launch.
Please do not walk on the airfield!
